About This Project

This project is about building a simple prototype of a peer-to-peer GPU rental platform where people can share and use computing power. Instead of letting GPUs sit unused, owners can list them on the platform, set a price, and make them available for others to use. On the other side, users can browse available GPUs and run tasks like AI models or other heavy computations. The system shows how things like listing GPUs, scheduling jobs, tracking usage, and calculating costs can all work together. It is not meant to replace real cloud services, but to demonstrate how this kind of system could actually function.

Our Vision

The goal of this project is to make GPU computing more accessible and affordable. Right now, a lot of people, especially students and small developers, cannot easily afford powerful cloud services, while many GPUs sit idle most of the time. This platform imagines a future where those unused resources can be shared. People who need computing power can quickly find options that fit their budget, and GPU owners can earn something from hardware they are not fully using. Overall, it is about making it easier for more people to experiment, build, and learn without high costs getting in the way.

Why It Matters

This project is based on a simple idea. Access to computing power should not be limited to those who can afford expensive systems or cloud services. As AI and technology continue to grow, the demand for GPUs is increasing, but access is still uneven. At the same time, a lot of GPU power goes unused. This project connects to the idea of the sharing economy, similar to how people share rides or rent out homes, by applying it to computing resources. Instead of everything being controlled by large companies, this approach explores a more open and flexible system where people can share what they already have. In the end, it is about using resources more efficiently and making technology more accessible to everyone.
