"Self driving car, with obstacle avoidance camera recognition"
The self-driving car project aims to upgrade a standard EEGLO robotic vehicle by installing and programming a Raspberry Pi as its main control unit. This enhancement will allow the robot car to perform more advanced tasks such as obstacle detection, autonomous navigation, data processing, and remote control. By using the Raspberry Pi, the project will move beyond simple motor control and introduce higher-level computing capabilities. These include running Python programs, connecting to the internet, using cameras and sensors, and implementing basic artificial intelligence algorithms. The goal of this project is to create a flexible, low-cost autonomous vehicle platform that can be used for learning, experimentation, and future development in robotics and self-driving systems. This project will help students develop skills in programming, electronics, system integration, and problem-solving while working with real-world hardware.
Our vision is to transform the EEGLO robot car into an intelligent, adaptable, and reliable autonomous system powered by Raspberry Pi technology. We aim to create a platform that: Encourages hands-on learning in robotics and computing Demonstrates real-world applications of autonomous systems Supports future expansion with sensors, cameras, and AI tools Through this project, we strive to inspire students to explore robotics, artificial intelligence, and engineering while developing practical skills that are valuable in modern technology careers. Our long-term vision is to build a scalable prototype that reflects the principles of future self-driving vehicles in a safe and affordable educational environment.
