The Alberta post-secondary sector currently lacks a unified, non-partisan, sector-wide education pathway/career planning service. This PoC aims to bridge the gap left by the completed APOP pilot project. We are developing an AI-powered education-pathways and career planning tool integrated with ApplyAlberta to support prospective learners navigating their educational journeys.

Within five years, this initiative will transform how learners in Alberta plan their futures. By providing a unified, non-partisan, AI-powered guidance system, it will remove confusion, reduce barriers to post-secondary access, and empower students to choose the right pathways from the start. The result will be improved student success, reduced dropout rates, and stronger connections between education and industry needs.

Moving beyond "static" services like ALIS or Career Cruising, this project validates that AI can sustainably assimilate large volumes of labor-market and program data to generate responsive, tailored paths while reducing manual content-upkeep costs.
