Odds are Human is a 3D multiplayer "friendslop" party game built in Godot that satirizes the emerging trend of prediction markets. Players take turns navigating randomized obstacle courses while spectators (and potentially a Twitch audience) act as "investors," using an algorithmic betting system to wager on the runner's success or failure. Players can engage in "insider trading," rigging the course with obstacles or help to ensure their bets pay out.
we see Odds are Human becoming a definitive "streamer interaction" title, bridging the gap between content creators and their audiences through real-time betting integration. We aim to popularize a new genre of "Speculative Platforming," where the entertainment value is derived as much from the social market dynamics, friendship, and humor as it is from the gameplay itself, eventually expanding with mod support and community-created markets.
Odds are Human was born from a desire to reject the exhausting grind of "Big FPS" and hyper-competitive multiplayer titles. Originally conceived as a "friendslop"—low-stakes, chaotic fun to escape the clutches of sweaty multiplayer servers—the project evolved when we introduced a gambling mechanic. Ironically, this transformed our "casual" escape into Competitive Gambling.
